Our Specialist Programs
Our passion for the arts and cultural diversity in children's education has enabled us bring together a fantastic team of specialist teachers.
Children at QACS participate in daily Spanish and/or Mandarin, Yoga and Art classes. These activities offer each child daily opportunities for physical and creative expression, and the development of important neural pathways to acquire different languages. Both art and foreign language activities are integrated into our school-wide theme as often as possible, offering the children uniquely enriching opportunities to expand upon their classroom learning with our specialist teachers. Our specialist teachers work closely with our classroom teachers, to integrate the arts and language into each child's broader educational experience at QACS.
The children also participate in one or more lessons each week in the following areas: Instrumental Music (general percussion), Piano, Voice, Dance or Drama. Again, activities in these areas, as much as possible, are tied into the general curriculum.
We are very proud of the fantastic specialist programs we offer! Each child enjoys a variety of teaching styles and methodologies throughout their day, adding to an already stimulating program and our school's strong identity as a true learning community.
